Paris attractions

One thing’s for certain – no matter how long you stay, you’ll never see all Paris attractions in one visit. For your first visit we recommend you visit the highlights of the major attractions in Paris – it’s historical buildings, art attractions, splendid gardens, and rich and enticing café and gourmet culture.

For a start, use the Metro and tour Paris’s architectural attractions. Start with a trip up the Eiffel Tower for a spectacular view of Paris, and then move on to the cavernous cathedral of Nortre Dame, and end up at the Sacre-Coeur cathedral in the arty Montmartre district.

Next, see Paris’s incredible museum and art attractions. Start with the Louvre – surely the world’s most famous art museum. Decide beforehand what you’d like to see – it’s huge! Then pay a visit to the post-modern Centre Pompidou for a look at latter-day art. Tip: At this point pick a world-renowned European painter like Picasso or Dali, or if you’re a literature fan, a writer like Balzac or Victor Hugo – and visit the museums dedicated to them – there are dozens such places spread across Paris.

Lastly, a major attraction of Paris is it’s café society and fine restaurants. The easiest way to experience this is to wander down the Avenue des Champs-Elysées up to the Arc de Triomphe sitting down for tasty eats and drinks at any of the myriad of sidewalk cafes that line this beautiful boulevard.
