After partying really hard the night before in the hostel, I am actually quite amazed I got up as early as I did. After hearing the Irish guy Owen last night talking about Irish breakfast, I was on a mad hunt today for fried eggs and bacon. I finally found it beside the internet café a block away from Notre Dame. The bonus is that I was able to check my e-mail right after breakfast.

There are many carts all over the city where you can get a quick bite to eat. The most common of these is the crepe. You can get it filled with melted cheese or with nutella. Some places will also offer a fruit selection.
If you do decide to go to a café, you will end up paying more to sit down. If you want to save some money, or just want a quick cappuccino, get it at the bar.
You should not go a day in Paris without drinking some French wine. The Bordeaux and Champagne regions are a few hours away by train. If you decide that you don’t have enough time to travel out to these regions, ask the local store owner what they recommend. You can get anything from really cheap swill to very expensive wine cellar quality wine |
